Thousands Experiencing Electricity in Queensland and Victoria Following Severe Weather Systems

Nearly twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems passed over the state, generating wind gusts reaching 109km/h.

Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Impact

Locals reported giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

During the peak on Sunday, more than 28,000 electricity consumers in Victoria were without power.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coast.

Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing storm activity anticipated across different parts of both regions.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, particularly given the current weather patterns.
