The imminent arrival of three incoming casinos across NYC has been greenlit, igniting discussion about economic benefits and community impacts as wagering activity surges throughout the nation.
A state gaming facility location board has endorsed several planned gambling projects—a pair situated in Queens and one in the Bronx. The panel concluded these ventures could create thousands of new jobs and generate massive sums of tax revenue over the coming decade.
New York's regulatory body will probably endorse the board's decision, effectively clear the path for the venues to begin operations in the upcoming years.
