Previous British Broadcasting Corporation Advisers Face MPs' Questioning In the Wake of Assertions of Partiality in Disclosed Memorandum

Previous British Broadcasting Corporation specialists appearing in front of MPs

We begin with queries from Conservative MP the committee chair, who leads the panel.

She opens by providing details to the unauthorized memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.

"It is not my wish for the BBC leaning this way or that way, My only wish is for it neutral, fair and just," he says.

In response to a query whether he believes the British Broadcasting Corporation is institutionally biased, the adviser replies: "No I don't. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC produces is exceptional - both factual and entertainment content."

However, he continues: "There is real work that requires attention at the BBC."

The second ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation adviser interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the BBC with great importance and that it maintains a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" across dynamic and complex issues.

"Was the BBC prepared to engage in a thorough conversation and debate and act accordingly?" she reflects. "In my view, yes they were."
