Our Purpose Involves Exclusively Killing' - How Sudan's Ruthless Paramilitary Group Carried out a Massacre

Alert: This Report Contains Explicit Accounts of Executions.

Fighters laugh as they move on the bed of a pick-up truck, racing alongside a series of several lifeless forms and moving in the direction of the sinking African sunset.

"Observe this extensive work. Look at this instance of genocide," a fighter cheers.

The fighter smiles as he turns the recording device on himself and his fellow combatants, their paramilitary insignia clearly shown: "They will all be killed this way."

The men are rejoicing over a mass killing that humanitarian officials believe killed more than two thousand people in the Sudanese metropolis of el-Fasher in recent weeks.

A Community Isolated from the Globe

After maintaining the community under blockade for approximately two years, from late summer the RSF moved to strengthen its position and blockade the leftover civilian population.

Orbital photography show that fighters commenced to erect a enormous earth barrier - a built-up earthen wall - encircling the boundaries of the city, sealing off entry points and blocking relief supplies.

While the blockade worsened, seventy-eight people were killed in an paramilitary assault on a place of worship on 19 September, while the UN stated dozens further were killed in drone and heavy weapon bombardments on a displacement camp in the autumn.

Disturbing Recording Depicts Defenseless People Shot

By sunrise on late October the RSF conquered the last government positions and took control of the central base in the city, the command center of the Army Division, as the government forces retreated.

Perhaps the most graphic videos to appear and analysed depicted the results of a mass killing at a university building on the west of the community, where scores dead bodies were seen strewn throughout the ground.

A senior person wearing a robe sat alone amid the victims. He turned to gaze as a militiaman equipped with a rifle moved descending the steps in the direction of the victim. pointing his weapon, the shooter discharged a one round at the man, who dropped to the ground still.

"Why is this individual still alive," one militiaman exclaimed. "Execute this person."

Space-based imagery taken on October 26th indicated to confirm that executions were also carried out on the roads of el-Fasher, according to a report issued by the academic research center.

One witness who communicated stated they had witnessed "numerous of our kin being massacred - they were collected in a single location and each one eliminated."

RSF Commanders Seek to Carry Out Public Relations

In the days that ensued from the massacre, RSF leader conceded that his forces had committed "wrongdoings" and said the occurrences would be looked into.

Part of the detained was following a report detailing his murders. Carefully orchestrated and produced recording posted on the RSF's official Telegram platform show him being led into a detention area at a jail on the perimeter of al-Fashir.

Meanwhile, the paramilitary force and associated digital channels began seeking to reshape the account.

Content presenting its fighters providing aid to inhabitants were shared by some accounts, while the paramilitary's media office published several recordings purporting to show the proper handling of government detainees.

In spite of the online campaign being deployed by the paramilitary, their actions in el-Fasher have generated international outrage.
