Recent details have emerged regarding the shocking deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday.
According to a report referencing a family associate, a massage therapist arriving for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the house. The therapist then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides nearby.
After gaining access to the house, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Another individual who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.
The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, as well as the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now in custody without bail.
