The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many people into the National Football League

That result could have created things up for the Patriots to creep back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a schedule that provides them an edge over their 8-2 rivals

Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a major confrontation in week 11, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award

The Breakdown - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a bad day for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs last week or something more? That's the question for the Bills to address

The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a row against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 winners in an surprising result - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the squad's initial first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - yes the Dolphins had ten days to get ready but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the NFL's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two touchdowns but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two scores

Containing the NFL's top running game was crucial too, with Cook and teammates registering just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the season and slightly more than half their 161.5-yard average

Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Allen specifically. An interception in the scoring area meaning a nine-minute possession produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that the Dolphins converted to seven points just two plays

It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season

The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on if this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers next week as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the American Football Conference East

Regarding the Patriots, they're among three eight and two teams in the NFL, all AFC teams, but could they be the top team?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, Denver and the Colts really for feasting on the lesser sides, with just five of their combined twenty-four wins coming against teams with a positive record - and one example was the Colts defeating the Denver

The Broncos beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the final quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's win in Tampa to their primtime success in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their two defeats occurred in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's first three games, with seven straight victories, similar to the Broncos, since then - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a week off to get ready was significant

Drake Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he definitely deserves point for courage after taking some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his side to success

The defense is solid and first-year rusher Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exciting touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth different ball carrier to break 22 miles per hour this year on his first score

Although you can debate who 'the best' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which includes just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a huge one against Buffalo

Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and additionally the Packers on the schedule

The Indianapolis also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There is a long way to go but the opportunity is open for a shock number one position in the American Football Conference

Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three 8-2 sides are NFC West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored 40 burgers to go to 7-2 ahead of next week's major meeting between the two in Los Angeles

They've both won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Both could easily be undefeated as too - particularly the Rams as their two defeats came in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the final play deflected and returned by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle also lost to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're truly among the top teams in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year to date

Player of the Week - Taylor
