AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
